Aloha Parade 2019

Rain or shine, we will be there! We had an unfortunate downpour in the early morning that worried us if it would continue by the time the parade started. Luckily, the shine shown through so we could have a parade of Aloha. This year's theme for the Aloha parade was " 'Ukulele Stories." The 'ukulele is Hawai'i's official musical instrument. The 'ukulele is an instrument very known to Hawaii and is symbolic to the islands for its multicultural heritage. The 'ukulele was introduced to the Hawaiians by the Portuguese and in the 1800's, Queen Lili'uokalani proclaimed the instrument to be the national instrument of the Hawai'i Kingdom.
