Saturday, January 30, 2016; Every Chinese New Year there are celebrations around the island. One of the bigger celebrations are held at Chinatown and Cultural Plaza, and runs through multiple weekends around Chinese New Year. During the Chinatown block party, there is a parade that runs down Hotel Street in the afternoon showcasing multiple lion dance groups, non-profit organizations, and other programs that want to participate.
Chinatown Stage Performance
This is our first stage performance in the Chinatown block party on Maunakea Street (King Street end). Our show included a drum routine, martial arts demonstrations, a dragon routine, and an acrobatic lion dance routine.
